Jan 28, 2005 - Mommy gets a positive on a home pregnancy test. She can't wait to tell Daddy tonight when he gets home from work. Daddy is excited, but wants to hear it from the doctor before he truly believes.

Feb 4, 2005 - Our first doctor's appointment. He confirms it. I am on the way!! Mommy and Daddy decide to keep me a secret for a while.

Feb 20, 2005 - Mommy is so sick, but I am as happy as can be. She has final exams all week and can't eat much at all. All she wants to do is sleep, but she keeps dreaming about food!

Feb 26, 2005 - Grandma and Grandpa Walk get the news that they are going to be grandparents.

Feb 28, 2005 - Mommy and Daddy got to see me for the first time today with an ultrasound. Daddy says that I look like a little turtle. My heart rate was 169. The doctor also gave mommy a prescription to help with the morning sickness. 

March 1, 2005 - Thank God for the inventors of Zofran. Mommy can eat again!

March 2, 2005 - Mommy and Daddy tell my Granny Thomas that she is going to be a grandmother. She is so excited.  Granny thinks that I am a little girl, guess we will just have to wait and see if she is right.

March 28, 2005 - Doctor's appointment today. Mommy got to hear my heartbeat today. I made it a little difficult for the nurse to get a reading cause I was so squirmy, every time she would find me, I would move. HeeHee.

April 13, 2005 - Today is mommy's birthday. Daddy got her a new rocking chair so that she can rock me. Mommy really likes it (of course she picked it out).

April 26, 2005 - At this doctor's appointment my heart rate was 154. I was still being wiggly, but the nurse was able to get the reading. The doctor says everything looks great.

April 28, 2005 - Mommy thinks that she felt me move today while she was getting her teeth cleaned at the dentist.

May 10, 2005 - Mommy and Daddy got to see me again today with the ultrasound. I was sleepy and didn't want to be disturbed. I curled up in a ball and put my hands over my face, but they wouldn't leave me alone. I finally waved at them and that seemed to appease them and they left me alone. The technician said I weigh 8 oz.

June 1, 2005 - Mommy and I had a doctor's appointment today. My heart rate was 153. Mommy has gained three pounds, probably from that huge piece of Aunt Tashie's wedding cake that we ate last weekend!

June 16, 2005 - Daddy finally got to feel me kick tonight. Mommy has been feeling it for a while, but I usually stop before daddy can find me.

June 28, 2005 - Mommy passed her glucose screening today, hooray!!! My heart beat was 151 and mommy has gained 5 pounds. Our next doctor's visit will be in five weeks and after that we start going every two weeks. I'll be here before you know it!!!

Aug 3, 2005 - At our doctor's appointment today my heart beat was 154 and very strong. Mommy gained another 6 pounds since our last visit.  When the doctor measured mom's belly, he said that  we were measuring right on target. In other news, Grandma and Grandpa Walk are coming down today to visit for a week and help mom and dad get some stuff done around the house before I show up.

Aug 13, 2005 - The ladies from church had a baby shower for me today. It was wonderful.  Granny Thomas got to come down for the weekend so she got to go to the shower. She made me a beautiful crib set with Noah's ark on it and lots of animals. Mommy put pictures of it on the picture page.

Aug 22, 2005 - Mommy and I had another doctor's appointment today. My heart rate was 144 and mom has gained another 3 pounds.  Daddy told mommy today that he would really like for me to be born on his birthday.  We will see if I am ready to come then.

Sept 8, 2005 - Today at our doctor's appointment my heartbeat was 151 and mommy had gained 5 lbs. Mommy had to start back to school this week and we are really tired at the end of the day.

Sept 15, 2005 - Weekly doctor's appointments from here on out. Mommy didn't gain any weight this week, she actually lost a pound. My heart beat was 145 and I kept wiggling all over the place. The doctor said that mommy is 40% effaced and 0 dilated. We will see what he says next week.

Sept 23, 2005 - No change at the doctor's appt this week. We will see what happens next week.

Sept 30, 2005 - Still no change, other than mom has gained a couple more pounds. The doctor said that if we come back next week with no change, he would schedule and induction for Oct 12. Mommy hopes that I come before then.

Oct 11, 2005 - I am one week overdue, so the doctor is inducing mom and forcing me out. Mom and Dad go to the hospital tonight to start the Cervadil. I am enjoying one more night all warm and cozy in mommy's belly.

Oct 12, 2005 - MY BIRTHDAY!!! The doctor started the pitocin at 7:00 am and the eviction process has begun. I am born at 7:15 pm and mom and dad name me Corban Russell. I am 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long. I have to go to the transition nursery for three hours to monitor my breathing, but everything is fine and I get to go to mommy's room around 10 pm.

Oct 14, 2005 - I thought that I was going to get to go home today, but the pediatrician noticed some things and he wanted to run more test, so I get transferred to the NICU. Mommy has to go home without me and I can tell that her heart is breaking.

Oct 17, 2005 - All of the test came back normal and the doctor is letting me go home today. Mommy and Daddy are so excited.

Oct 20, 2005 - I had my first visit to the pediatrician's office. I weigh 8 lbs 8 oz. and everything looks great.

Nov 10, 2005 - My second pediatrician visit was today. I am growing so much. I am now 10 lbs 3 oz and 22 inches long. I love to eat, can you tell? I also like to listen to music and play in my swing. Mommy can't believe that I am already a month old.

Nov 26, 2005 - I smiled my first voluntary smile for Grampa Walk. We were at Aunt Hollie and Uncle Phil's house for Thanksgiving.

Dec 24, 2005 - It is Christmas Eve and I giggled my first little giggle for mommy.

Dec 25, 2005 - My first Christmas!! It was pretty uneventful. Mommy and daddy got me some blocks and some teething rings. I also got some great gifts from grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Jan 2, 2006 - I slept in the crib in my own room for the first time tonight. It was great. I only woke up twice, once cause I lost my paci and once because I was hungry.

Jan 6, 2006 - Daddy got me to hold my rattle all by myself today.

Jan 15, 2006 - I am laughing all the time now. I am really ticklish on my ribs and on my neck.

Feb 12, 2006 - I am four months old now. I am not rolling over yet, but I am trying really hard.

Feb 28, 2006 - I took my first airplane ride. Mommy and I flew to St. Louis to visit Granny for a few days. I was a really good boy and didn't cry to much. I slept for the second half of the ride.

March 9, 2006 - I have my first ear infection. No fun at all.

March 11, 2006 - I tried my first vegetables today. Carrots, yummy!!  Daddy is so glad that I like them. Now he won't be the only one is the family that likes them.

March 18, 2006 - Next new vegetable - squash. Not my favorite, but I will eat it.

March 20, 2006 - I get to spend the whole week with daddy. He took and week's vacation  to spend with me since the lady who watches me is on Spring Break. Daddy taught me to hold my own bottle all by myself.

April 1, 2006 - The new food for this week is green beans. I was cautious at first, but they are pretty good.

April 3, 2006 - Today was the first day of daycare. The lady that had been keeping me had to go back to work, so I am going to daycare now. I had a good day and all of the ladies there think that I am adorable.

May 22, 2006 - Mommy graduated from optometry school today. I was so good thru the ceremony. It has been a fun weekend cause all my grandparents and some of my aunts and uncles were here.

May 26, 2006 - Although I didn't know it at the time, last night was my last night to sleep with my pacifier. Mommy took it away from me today.

June 5, 2006 - I went swimming in a big swimming pool for the first time today. I had so much fun splashing around.  I would have stayed in for a long time, but I got cold.

June 12, 2006 - I am eight months old now and I have gotten my first two teeth in the past week. I am sitting up good and trying to stand up. I love playing with my puppy, she makes me giggle when she licks my toes. Speaking of toes, I just figured out this week that I can chew on them too!!

June 19, 2006 - Mommy, Daddy and I went to California to see Gramma and Grampa Walk. I went to the beach for the first time today. The sand was ok, not so sure about the surf. My favorite part was the sea gulls. I get so excited watching them fly around. We had a great week in Cali, I met a lot of my extended family.

June 22, 2006 - I am learning that I can feed myself and boy is it fun!! It takes some work, but I can pick up Cheerios and get them in my mouth most of the time. I am also drinking out of a sippy cup with some help from mom.

July 12, 2006 - I am nine months old today. Although I am not crawling around yet, I can still get around and get into stuff. My favorite way to get around is to lay on my back and push with my feet. If I want to go sideways, I just roll until I get what I want. My top two teeth are trying to come through, but aren't quite there yet.

July 21, 2006 -  I have four teeth now. Two on top and two on bottom.

Aug 2, 2006 - Mommy caught me up on my hands and knees rocking back and forth.  It won't be long before I am crawling. I also got tooth #5 and #6 is not to far behind. I really like eating 'real' food. I can usually get mom to share something from her plate with me.

Aug 29, 2006 - Watch out world, I'm crawling!! 

Sept 10, 2006 - Mommy tells daddy and me that I am going to be a big brother in May. I am not sure what that is, but May is a long time away, right?

Oct 4, 2006 - I had surgery today and had tubes put in my ears. Hopefully I won't have any more ear infections.

Oct 12, 2006 - My first birthday!! We just stayed home and had my favorite meal, mac'n'cheese for dinner. Daddy made me cupcakes. Grandma and Grandpa Walk came the first weekend of October so we cake then too. Granny Thomas came last weekend, so I have had a birthday month so far.

Oct 20, 2006 - Mommy has decided that I have to have my own dinner now when we go out to eat. She said something about me eating more than half of her dinner when she shares with me.

Oct 21, 2006 - Mommy and I went shopping today. When mommy would try on clothes, she would park my stroller in front of the mirror. I had fun saying 'Hi, Hi, Hi' to the baby in the mirror.

Oct 28, 2006 - I have been officially bottle-free for a week. It has been a very difficult week for me (and mommy) but I am going to make it.

Nov 29, 2006 - I have finally started to pull up to things and get all the way up to my feet.  It is frustrating me that I can't just go.  I get so mad when I fall down.  When daddy holds my hands and lets me walk across the floor, I think that it is so funny that I can't stand up I am laughing so hard.

Dec 27,2006 - I am talking up a storm now. Mommy understands when I say "See" , "Drink", "more", "light", "so big", "hello" ( I only say this while holding my hand to my ear like I am talking on the phone). I am also trying to count. I can say "Two, Three" and sometimes I get "four".

Jan 21, 2007 - With a lot of encouragement from mom and dad, I took my first independent steps today. I also became a cousin today. Happy Birthday Wyatt!!

Feb 8, 2007 - I am a cousin again!! Happy Birthday Ziyan!! 

March 27, 2007 - Another first, my first broken bone.  Nobody is sure how I did it or when, but apparently last Thursday or Friday I broke my left fibula (the small bone in the lower leg). The good news is that it is healing well on it's own and I don't have to wear a cast, just a splint for a few days.

April 9, 2007 - Granny Thomas came to visit for a few days over her spring break. I have decided to call her "Goma". She has spoiled me by taking me for walks and reading lots of stories. We also discovered that we both love eggrolls from Mandarin House, Goma already knew she liked them, but it was my first time to try them.

May 8, 2007 - I slept in my big boy bed for the first time tonight. Mommy is so proud of me. 

June 6, 2007 - Goma is visiting this week. We went to the park today. It was my first trip there and I had lots of fun. I liked swinging and climbing on the playground. I didn't like the slide though.

August 19, 2007 - I went down the stairs holding the hand rail all by myself today, just like a big person.
